This week the team attended the 2018 Landscape Show held down in Battersea Park, London. After such a fantastic result from the previous year, we decided to make the journey down south again to spread the word about Hedges Direct. The show went brilliantly and with the team being fully prepared this year we spoke to so many interesting tradesmen from all different backgrounds. The event allowed us to expand our links further and provide to people we didn’t know were out there! We also managed to expand our Hedging Network which is a online database of landscapers and designers that offer their services in your area. We are now busy working on adding these to our database and working on the quotes we were asked.
The Landscape show isn’t all about us dishing out the knowledge, throughout the day there is seminars held on a variety of topics which we attended to soak up as much knowledge as we can to then report back to our customers. One talk in particular that was very informative was on Box Blight and Box Moth and Caterpillar. Held by Chris Poole and Caroline Foley from the EBTS (European Boxwood & Topiary Society), the talk was about how we can save our box hedging without the need of ripping it out and starting again.
